YOUTH MINISTRY
Peace Lutheran’s Youth Ministry (6th-12th grade) is a place where you belong, build meaningful relationships, and grow in faith together. Through small groups, shared experiences, and opportunities to serve, we create a welcoming space where students can connect, support one another, and live out God’s love. No matter where you are on your journey, you are welcome here!
Welcome to LYF (Live Your Faith)!
All 9th–12th graders are invited to be part of LYF — our shared high school youth group with Peace and Faith Lutheran Churches! LYF is a space for fun, faith, and friendship, and we gather on Wednesday nights throughout the year to grow together and support one another.
LYF meets most Wednesday evenings during the summer, alternating between Faith and Peace depending on the week’s activity. We gather at 7:30 PM around the outdoor fire pit of the hosting church and wrap up by 9:00 PM. Each evening includes yard games, a short devotion, and a fireside snack.
Whether you’ve been part of youth group before or are brand new — you are welcome here!

Summer at Peace Lutheran is full of opportunities for 6th-12th graders to grow in faith, serve others, and make unforgettable memories! Whether it’s a life-changing service trip, a week at Green Lake Lutheran Ministries, or fun events right here at church, there’s something for everyone. Explore all the ways you can be part of the adventure!
CROW WING RIVER CANOE TRIP
When? August 4-7, 2025
Who? Those who have completed 6-8th Grade
Cost? $150
Join Quentin, your experienced and medically trained river guide, for a week immersed in God's creation. Experience the rustic wilderness, where we'll hand pump water, use vault latrines, and camp along the river in tents. Our journey begins near Menahga, MN on the Shell River and ends on the Crow Wing River north of Staples, MN. Enjoy two full days and two half days of canoeing, three kinds of s’mores, and the beauty of wildlife like painted turtles, herons, and bald eagles. Expect sun, bugs, and a physically rewarding adventure! All equipment, food, and transportation are included.

Get ready for an unforgettable trip! We’ll kick things off with a stop at the SPAM Museum in Austin, MN before heading to the Wisconsin Dells for a full day of fun at one of the world’s premier water parks. Then, we’re off to Chicago, where we’ll participate in Sunday worship as part of our service experience.
While in the Windy City, we’ll enjoy a deep-dish pizza dinner and explore exciting attractions, to be chosen from: Shedd Aquarium, Skydeck Chicago, Shoreline Sightseeing Architecture River Tour, Field Museum, 360 CHICAGO Observation Deck, Museum of Science and Industry, Art Institute of Chicago, Adler Planetarium, Centennial Ferris Wheel at Navy Pier, and even catch a baseball game at Wrigley Field.
A homemade pizza fundraiser will be available this spring to help offset costs. Contact Quentin with any questions!

Night Games
Join Quentin for a fun evening outside by the fire pit with s’mores, games, and worship! Each night we’ll have a different theme for worship and a game to go along with it. Grab a friend and join us for a night of fun each month!

LYF VALLEYFAIR TRIP

Who? Completed 8th-12th Grade
Cost? $50
Join us for our annual Valleyfair trip! This is a fan favorite, sure to be full of fun. We will leave in the morning and return late that day for a fun and full day on the rides. Cost includes transportation, wristbands for meals, snacks, and drinks.
9TH-12TH GRADE
LYF High School Youth Group
LYF is our high school youth group for students in grades 9-12 that meets year round. In the summer, we usually meet outside and have a fire, yard games, and a devotion.
This year we’re also adding three special night activities throughout the summer. Save these dates and watch for more details as time gets closer!
